Polishing Beads Ceramic!

Post by fabcoat » Wed Nov 14, 2012 8:22 pm

Looking to get set up with those polishing beads! Does anyone use the beads in a large vat and just roate them around in the beads? Is this possible? Any suggestions or input is appreciated. Ceramic jobs have been adding up in the past week I have 5 sitting in the shop and 6-12 more need to find a more appropriate way and time efficient solution to polish up the Chromex or w/e its called!

The beads are expensive and so is the 'Vibratory Polisher' that the beads go in

Shop around for pricing on microbright. The local supplier sells them for less than $1/lb, whereas online theyve always been over double that.

Id suggest going to a vibe finish place that provides the service & sells the equipment, they'll know what you need to get set up.

The Polishing Beads Ceramic Media also called microbrite. The main composition is alumina. This types of beads has no abbrasive inside. So it is excellent in polishing and burnishing. It suitable to polishing aluminum wheel and other metal parts within 30-60 minutes.
