I rely on a 'break test' using DA.
It's an expensive operation, with the damned stuff selling for $15.00/gal., but anything resting on a surface shows up quickly.

It will leave a puddle on the floor, so No Smoking! 8-)

So you can't go by after the part starts to flow? No. Eastwood instructions have been pointed out to be wrong a zillion times on this board. PMT - part metal temperature - is what you must go by. NOT flowout or oven temps. Use an infrared digital thermometer to watch the PART for your target temper...

Dano, The side of the oven is ridged, so the box is mounted to the high parts, so it's not flat against it. I ran it for about an hour at 450 last night and back wall of the box only reached 85. Before you button that control box up, add a couple of washers between it and the oven to provide a little 'stand off' space to let cool air flow behind the box. I didn't and wish I had...

Don't forget to watermark your photos. A lot of the guys on a plasma cutters' board I frequent are seeing their work show up on someone else s websites.
