Re: Advice on how to remove paint without removing powder coat

Duke, I know when I Goof Off, nothing gets done.   That being said, I don't think you're going to have any luck removing paint without affecting the powder, sorry. You should probably plan on blasting and re-powdercoating the desk. Much more time and cost effective in the long run.

Re: Oven extension heating

You could add a heating element in the bottom or on the sides of the extension, and the air circulation should even out the heating through the larger area. You will have to up-size the wiring to the unit to handle the extra amperage for the element though. (assuming it is an electric oven). Without...

Re: RTIC CUPS WITH BLACK BOTTOM

I use Dzolve 1012 from SolventKleen. It is the same as Eastwood Powder & Paint Remover, but much cheaper. Nowhere near as dangerous or smelly as B17. You couldn't pay me to use that stuff. Saw a guy's thumb literally dissolve to the bone after his glove leaked. The Dzolve is very effective and lasts...

Re: how Masking wheel lip and cut round a perfect line?

I just use the wheel edge as it's own straightedge and freehand the cut with an fresh blade in a razor knife. Did the same with the Gorilla tape used to mask prior to blasting. For some reason my pics won't attach.

Re: Veteran Coater Needs help!

You may have a bad batch of powder if it's happening with one you've used before. I have an Ultra High Gloss Black I use all the time and one day looks like glass after cure, other days (different ambient temp, humidity, etc.) it cures and has little microscopic bubbles all over. Second coat of 2-3 ...

Re: Truck Rack Ouote?

Hey Duke, I concur with the others...$100 is too cheap. $150-$200, $250 with primer.

Good to see you again! - Dan

Re: Wiseguyz Picture Thread

I never have a set time that I'm on because I don't have internet at my shop. Evenings and weekends likely would be the only time you'll see me on here, Harley.
