Just the computer, not the p/c work.

Got a new house. Gotta get moved, organized and have my son the cable guy get by and hook me back up.

See ya around!

Re: Powder classes

Not to try and take potential income away from Westsidepc, but since you made it this far, you are already at the best place to learn all the things you need to know about powder coating short of getting your hands dirty and learning the hard way - like the rest of us did! Those that can, DO!, Those...

Re: Price Check - Sportster heads and cylinders

15-20 won't get them degreased in my shop. Expect to pay $100/head and $100/cyl around here. That's only for one coat, solid colors. I'm with Baz on the rest of the special treatments, "wiped fins", "polished fins", two-coat colors, etc. - that chit gets expen$ive real quick. I've done some polished...

Re: Methods For Powder Coating Touchup

And Acetone is basically fingernail polish remover - ask the woman in your life about it. If they can soak their fingertips in the chit for 40-50 years without any ill effects, you can use the stuff for 5 damb minutes without expiring on contact  David, I am not so sure about no side effects t...

Re: Blue ZR1 Caliper color match

You're gonna be hard pressed to find a candy blue to get you there that doesn't need a basecoat, regardless of the blasting media you use. Glass beads will be the closest you can get, but you'll still be limited to the base coat that the beads leave you with. If you need a clear top-coat over the fi...

Re: Methods For Powder Coating Touchup

Take the part to any O'Rielly's Auto Parts Store (or your local equivalent) that mixes paint. They should be able to scan the part, mix a compatible color into a rattle can and for under 30 bucks, you'll be out the door. And for the record, there's nothing "life-threatening" about MEK. MEK is just a...

Re: Electrolysis

I do a lot of aluminum parts and plates for boats and always supply mounting hardware, most mounting hardware is coated but some is not or I'm not sure of the application and let client use their own in the mounting holes I provide. Received a part back that was about a year and a half old, client ...
