No ! Coatings will make all defects look worse , some textured or wrinkles can hide very minor marks but that’s about it.

Next time sand out the defects and then finish.

Coatings In General shrink as they cure , powder is no different.

Try the illusion gold with a gold top coat , then you’d have to flat or mid gloss clear it

Burn off or chemically strip.

You want a clear path to ground , clean bars and hooks are more important than the rack , that’s where you hook the ground to , if your rack is a fixture then you should keep that clean if your grounding to that

Jay a box fed gun can adjust the cloud to any size, to suit any part. And as there program grows their needs will too , start with good equipment that’s meant to be used daily , not hobby equipment. You will need things that are UL listed , explosion proof , things rated for industrial use in a school district , this isn’t little house on the prairie, no matter how small your school or program is ,you will have fire codes and safety regulations to follow. Anything industrial rated which is what you need in a school , fire codes and safety first will be waaaayyyyy more than 5 grand , hell a good box fed powder gun will cost that much ! Not including the oven , a booth ,wash system and blasting of some sort ... 5 grand won’t even set up a barebones hob...
