Re: I screwed up by not paying attention.

Thanks guys, I've has problems with the cheap design of the on/off switch with this unit. It will occasionally not stay in the off position. The ball valve was shut off, so I may have turned off the power switch too. That's the routine. I think I'll start at the pressure control switches and go from...

I screwed up by not paying attention.

My normal daily shop closing includes a lot of steps, one of which is turning off the big compressor. Looks like I got distracted and missed that simple thing and didn't get back to the shop for several days. When I got there today I could hear the thing running and went straight to it Looks like it...

Re: Dano did this;

Looks like you need some neon green powder and some thin sheet for backing... No way, Scott. With the paper backing the customer can change the color in a second. And the cost is next to nothing. Now, if this were a sign that would be exposed to weather, a permanent backing would certainly be in or...

Re: Dano did this;

Just a piece of paper made a world of difference.
You can see this from the far end of the farmers market.
His wife picked up a package of the neon construction paper at Staples and taped one to the back of the sign.

Re: Timing your Baking.

Can the laser beam penetrate the glass door in the oven? The laser is just a marketing gimmick and has nothing to do with measuring temperature. Take a reading, cover the laser with tape and take another reading. The laser beam may show up on the piece beyond the glass door but the temperature will...

Fear not, Wolffie.

When enough of us from around the globe converse long enough, we may not be countries separated by a 'common language'. :lol:
Ask away - anyone who has a problem with it is an Asshat.

What the heck does Dinkum mean???

Re: Powder coating and thunder storms..

What keeps me out of the shop is the possibility of a power outage halfway through a curing cycle.
But you raise an interesting question. Looking forward to opinions.

Re: It's been a long, slow winter. But I'm back.

Looking good Dano. Is that mountains I see in the background? Or would they just call what I see a Hill :lol: It's the foothills leading to the Snowy Range mountains. US 130 and 230 split off just west of town. The northern route is the high pass that is closed in the winters - just opened last week.
