Air dryer vs refrigerated air dryer ??

Post by ZX10 » Mon Feb 12, 2018 11:05 am

Gonna be upgrading I currently have a refrigerated dryer but it will need updating with new compressor..
so I came across these non refrigerated dryers, does anyone have experience with them?
Worth the savings or just go with the refrigerated units?

These guys make a 1” inlet/outlet and a 1.5” inlet outlet enough for 100+ hp ,when buying desiccant dryers that do not dry the desiccant automatically buy the biggest you can find, and buy enough replacement desiccant to refill it while you bake dry the old stuff.

I’ve had a devilbiss dad with an extra stage for many years and very pleased .
It’s only used for blowing off parts ,coating and paint , I would use a much larger one for blasting, like in your link or the one I posted.

Really pay attention to the size micron it will trap or stop and the cfm it will handle , and as always buy the best you can afford.
